MEMBERS of a Harwich choir hit the right note at a national singing competition.

Both Harwich Sing and Harwich Sing Kids visited the Cambridge Corn Exchange to take part in The Choir of the Year.

The 110 perfor mers from Harwich were praised for giving their “heart and soul” at the contest.

Clare Leach, founder of Harwich Sing, said: “Both choirs performed amazingly.

“While we didn’t progress to the next stage, we received some fabulous feedback.

“The judges said that absolutely every single person in the choir clearly loved what they were doing, sang beautifully and with genuine emotion.

“They also commented on the incredible support from the crowd.

“I am so grateful for all the members of the Harwich community that made the journey to come and watch us represent our town.”
