FIREFIGHTERS were called to a car on fire on the A120.
The vehicle was on the Colchester-bound carriageway between Horsley Cross and Ramsey.
A fire crew from Dovercourt and another from Manningtree were called to the scene shortly before 3pm on Sunday and used a hose reel jet to dampen the flames.
The scene was made safe within half an hour.
