CHILDREN can look forward to two fun-filled weeks of activities at sport centres and swimming pools across the district.

A host of different sessions have been organised for sites run by Tendring Council in Clacton, Walton, Brightlingsea, Dovercourt, Harwich and Manningtree starting on Monday.

There will be a mixture of both indoor and outdoor games and activities.

Clacton Leisure Centre, in Vista Road, is offering football, basketball, cricket, trampolining, mini tennis, netball and cheerleading.

It will also be offering activities in the swimming pool which includes swimming lessons and inflatables.

Walton on the Naze Lifestyles, in Princes Esplanade, has a whole range of activities in the pool for all ages and it is the same at Dovercourt Bay Lifestyles, in Low Road. The site is also staging junior football outside.

Harwich Sports Centre, in Hall Lane, has organised racket sports, soccer stars, mini competitions and crazy rounders while Manningtree Sports Centre, in Colchester Road, has a bouncy castle, multi-sports, football, wall-climbing, roller disco, trampolining, tennis, and athletics.

At Brightlingsea Sports Centre, in Church Road, there will be non-contact boxing, racket sports, football, indoor tennis, indoor cycling, bouncy castle and soft play.

Activities start for children as young as three and go up to 16.

Full details of the activities, venues, costs and timings are available from the centres and on Tendring Council’s website, www.tendringdc.gov.uk.
