DEMENTIA sufferers and their carers were given a morning of support, safety advice and sharing memories.
Harwich Library held the Dementia Awareness morning.
The Alzheimer’s Society, Dementia Connections and the Samaritans offered advice and support while Essex Fire Services were offered advice on home safety and a free smoke alarm fitting service.
The Harwich Society had a collection of postcards of Harwich, Dovercourt and Parkeston.
Kay Kington, senior customer services assistant, said: “Sadly it seems Dementia is effecting more and more families these days and it was really good to see people get advice.”
