MEDICS were called in to help a celebrity during a live ghost hunt at Harwich's Redoubt Fort.

TV presenter Rylan Clark-Neal hosted the 90-minute show, Celebrity Ghost Hunt Live, with famous contestants including Love Island’s Chris Hughes, Celebrity Big Brother winner Stephen Bear, Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby, Ex on the Beach star Charlotte Dawson and Ampika Pickston, from Real Housewives of Cheshire.

Live on 5Star on Wednesday night they took part in lone vigils and used ouija boards, and were locked in cells in the dark.

But just before a séance in the moat, psychics Ian Lawman was called away urgently to help a Stephen Bear.

When he returned, he said: "His heart rate was over the top, we've got the medics looking after him.

"He felt some really bad energy in the cell.

"I think because everybody thinks Bear is joking and laughing because of this personality, I think spirits brought it on to him."

The 200-year-old Napoleonic fort in Main Road was chosen by producers for being one of the most “significant paranormal locations in the country”.

They had hoped to contact a headless soldier who is said to have been seen roaming the fort and a 13-year-old girl who haunts the moat.
