A KEEN horse rider has been selected out of hundreds of applicants to become an ambassador for an equestrian brand.

Carrie Munro, 14, entered a competition to be a brand ambassador for the well known horse toy and treat company Likit, which was established in 2002.

The year ten Manningtree High School pupil signed up for the competition last month alongside hundreds of amateur riders from across the country in the hope of being awarded one of five available spots as an ambassador for horse toy and treat company Likit.

Two of the five places were awarded by Likit, which went to Carrie and Paulina Misior, then 12 other entrants were put to a public vote for the three remaining places.

For the chance to become a brand ambassador Carrie, a year ten Manningtree High School pupil, had to produce a three-minute video explaining why she would make a great brand one of the best ambassadors for the company.

In return for winning a spot Carrie, from Dovercourt, will write monthly blogs about how her horse riding competitions are going with her seven-year-old pony Olaf, as well as contributing to the company’s social media pages and enjoying its products.

Carrie said she was so happy when she found out she had won.

She said: “It was my third attempt at entering the competition and my pony loves the products so much.

“I can’t believe it and I am still on cloud nine.”

Carrie has been competing in National Schools Equestrian Association events and is also competing at BE Novice level and she aims to represent Great Britain at the Pony Europeans in eventing with Olaf.

She said: “He is so talented and I can’t wait for our years ahead of us as 2018 is definitely going to be an exciting year for both me and Olaf.”
