DOZENS of people will brave a fire walk to help a charity which supports the brave siblings of poorly children.

Sponsor a Sibling has found 35 people to step across scorching hot coals in a bid to raise £22,000 for an adapted caravan which families with ill children could use to take on holiday.

Laura Rolph-Wills and her husband Graham set up the charity last year to give the brothers and sisters of poorly children a treat.

The money would allow the adapted caravan to be wheelchair accessible and provide specialised equipment for a child’s needs.

It would also cover site fees for caravan parks for the first year of the caravan’s usage.

To try to raise the money, organisers from the charity are holding a fire walk extravaganza at Dovercourt Caravan Park tomorrow between 6pm and 11pm.

There will also be a range of entertainment for children while the fire walkers have their pre-walk training, followed by a celebration disco.

Laura said: “Some people taking part in the fire walk are friends and family members, and others are strangers wanting to help.

“As far as I am aware, nobody had done it before and some people have said to be they signed up because they want to tick it of their bucket list.

“It will be quite the achievement for everyone taking part.”

Tickets are £2.50 per adult and £1.50 per child and can be purchased by visiting www.sponsorasibling.co.uk.
