A DRINK driver has been banned from the roads for 18 months.
Victoria Standing, 38, was caught by police on Church Road, Brightlingsea, just before midnight on September 24.
Officers pulled her over because she had a broken front registration plate and the Ford Mondeo she was driving had an out-of-date MOT.
Standing had 62mg of alcohol per 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35.
She admitted drink driving at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Representing herself, Standing, of no fixed address, said she was going through a rough time in her life and had made a stupid mistake.
As well as the ban, she must pay £415 in court charges.
