A SENIOR carer has been found guilty of two counts of ill treatment.

Peter Crofts, who worked at a care home in Harwich, was on trial for four counts of neglecting residents between May and September 2016.

His co-worker, Shaunna Hughes, faced three charges of ill-treatment to vulnerable residents.

Crofts, 66, Ramsey Road, Dovercourt, was found guilty of two counts by a jury at Chelmsford Crown Court on Friday.

He will be sentenced at the same court on May 11.

Hughes, 26, of King George’s Avenue, Dovercourt, was cleared of all three charges.
