BORDER force officers were called to an incident involving a group of men attempting to enter the country illegally.

Officers were called to Harwich International Port on Thursday night on reports of three Albanian nationals who were trying to enter the port illegally.

Essex Police were called to the scene just after 10.30pm.

One man was detained and later removed from the UK.

The two other men were taken to hospital with leg injuries, where they remain.

A Home Office spokesman said: "Their cases will be dealt with according to the immigration rules."
