MANNINGTREE'S first vegetarian only cafe has been launched by a university graduate.
Maisie Dyvig, 22, has opened The Wholefood Cafe in High Street, Manningtree.
It adjoins her parent's shop, The Wholefood Store, which is celebrating it's 20th anniversary this year.
Maisie said: "I opened last Wednesday and have ahd a really good response.
"It's a little cafe with 16 or 17 seats and a little area outside.
"I'm mostly vegetarian myself and decided to make the cafe all vegetarian.
"It complements with the products we sell in the shop."
Maisie is also providing vegan options and coffee from a women's co-operative in Columbia, roasted 10 minutes away from the cafe.
She added: "I use different cultural influences, this week was a middle eastern menu like a fava bean stew.
"Then I do cakes.
"It's something different for the high street."
The Wholefood Cafe is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
