HUNDREDS of music revellers flocked to Wrabfest as it returned for a fourth year.

The Wrabness-based festival had a total of 2,500 visitors throughout the day on Saturday to enjoy music, food and drinks.

The successful annual festival - now in its fourth year - celebrates music, entertainment and community spirit.

The niche village festival is run by a score of volunteers from in and around the village for visitors to celebrate the best of the summer season.

Alasdair Ritchie, one of the organisers, said: “The weather was fantastic and we were better organised this year and people appreciated it.

“There are about 100 volunteers who give up their time to put the festival together each year.

“We were all just greatly relieved it went so well and people who came were in such a good mood and we delivered.”

He said it takes volunteers about six months from start to finish to organise and prepare for the festival.

One of the highlights from the event was a young duo, in Year 8 at Manningtree High School, wowed the audience at the festival.

Ruby Poole, an accomplished singer, and Sonny Dines playing an acoustic guitar, performed songs by Ed Sheeran, Oasis, Anne Marie and Justin Bieber to name a few.
