TWO towns are now firmly on the map after a computer giant put detailed street views on the internet.
Search engine Google sent cameras fixed on cars around Harwich and Manningtree last year to expand its street view map, launched in 2009.
People can now see 360 degree views of the towns without leaving their living room by simply going on the internet.
Thousands of streets across the county went online this week as part of a major operation by the company to showcase streets in Essex and Suffolk. Originally only larger cities were available.
People out and about in shorts and t-shirts suggest that the Google car was around the two towns sometime last summer.
