BURGLARS raided a primary school for the second time in a month having already stolen computers worth tens of thousands of pounds.

Police are appealing for information after intruders broke into St Mary's Primary School, Colchester Road, Ardleigh, twice.

They first got into a classroom overnight between December 15 and 16 and took almost 20 computers including Apple iMacs, MacBook Pro laptops and Ergo laptops.

Then just before mdinight on Friday, January 13, they entered the school again but fled empty handed after setting of the alarm.

Investigating officer PC Liam Battersby appealed for any information about either break-in.

He also appealed for information from anyone who has been offered iMac, MacBook and Ergo computers cheaply and in suspicious circumstances.

Police are considering whether these latest offences are connected to recent computer thefts from schools in other parts of north Essex.

Anyone with information call PC Battersby of the Tendring Response Team at Harwich police station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
