A MAN will be sentenced next month after he was caught trying to smuggle a teenage girl into the country through Harwich.
Catalin Vasile admitted a people smuggling charge when he made a brief appearance at Chelmsford Crown Court on Monday, October 1.
The 23-year-old from Reading is accused of trying to get the 16-year-old into the country on November 6, 2010.
The court heard the teenager was found in a car after a ferry arrived at Harwich from Holland.
Vasile was remanded in custody. There was no application for bail.
