BUDDING young journalists put together their own news reports as part of a nationwide event across schools.
Tendring Technology College students took their chance to report the news for the BBC’s annual School Report event on March 27.
The youngsters tested out their journalistic skills, coming up with ideas for stories and using the school’s high-tech equipment to film their own reports in a newsroom environment.
Each student had a different role, from script-writing to anchoring and editing.
Assistant principal Ruth Burden said: “It was an excellent day and I was very impressed with what I saw from the students.
“It is a hectic day with a real buzzing newsroom atmosphere and it helps prepare them for life outside the classroom too.”
