A HOMEOWNER has been told that part of a triple garage roof at a luxury new house in Weeley Heath may have to come down.
Tendring Council’s planning committee are worried about its effect on neighbouring homes in Clacton Road
The garage is larger than the permission given by the council, sparking a complaint to its planning enforcement team.
The homeowner put in a second application in a bid to get agreement for the unauthorised work.
Most was approved, including the go-ahead for a swimming pool, but councillors ruled that the roof – which was over 4ft higher than agreed – must go because of its effect on neighbouring properties.
The homeowner could still appeal. Weeley Parish Council objected to all the new plans.
