A WOMAN was robbed of £20 during a mugging in Clacton.
The 45-year-old victim, who lives in Clacton, was walking across Meredith Road when she was attacked on Monday at 1.40pm.
As she reached the pavement she was hit from behind, which caused her to hit her head on a wall.
A £20 note was then snatched from her hand.
Investigating officer Det Con Mo Crawley said: "The victim was left with swelling and grazing to her forehead and was stunned by the impact.
“I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened or from anyone who may know the person responsible for this nasty attack.”
