AN energy switching campaign has been launched to help residents slash their electricity and gas bills.
It follows the Big Community Switch Campaign.
Independent provider iChoosr has been chosen by Essex County Council.
Energy companies will be asked to bid to offer the lowest rate for gas and electricity contracts. Participants then receive an email containing a new gas and electricity offer, valid for one month.
The last switch saw 4,500 residents reigster and those who switched saved an average of £200.
David Finch, leader of Essex County Council, said: “I signed up to this initiative last year and saved money along with well over a thousand Essex residents.
“This year I want more people to sign up to save.”
