ANOTHER 100 alarms designed to safeguard homes against burglars have been released by a community group.
Kirby Residents’ Association bought 500 vibration-sensitive alarms and offered them to residents at cut-price in an effort to slash the number of burglaries in the area.
The scheme was a huge success and there was still demand for the devices, so association chairman Ray Enever snapped up another 100 alarms through the local crime prevention panel.
They will be on sale for £3 each at the Community Project Office, in Walton High Street, and the town council office at the Triangle shopping centre.
