Rescue teams sent to save struggling windsurfer near Clacton Pier
LIFESAVERS were launched to help a struggling windsurfer off the Clacton coast.
Coastguards received a 999 call reporting a windsurfer in trouble near the pier on Wednesday morning, at about 9.40am.
The Clacton inshore lifeboat and the coastguard rescue team were sent to the scene and pulled the windsurfer onto the lifeboat.
He was assessed by the teams and taken back to shore to warm up, but did not need medical attention.
