A PRIMARY school’s plan for a new library has been backed by town councillors.
Hamford Primary Academy, in Walton, has been raising money for an ambitious £75,000 new library building next to the school.
A planning application has now been submitted.
Frinton and Walton Town Councillors recommended approval and the proposal will now go to Tendring Council for a final decision to be made.
The town council also recommended allowing Walton Pre-School, in Standley Road, to keep a storage unit at the back of the site.
