ANGRY residents are to launch a campaign group to fight “outrageous” plans for 900 homes on a farm site in Clacton.
Persimmon Homes has unveiled plans to build the huge estate at Rouses Farm, off Jaywick Lane.
The development will be one of the biggest estates to be built in the town for a generation.
The proposals include a new primary school and a medical centre, improvements to roads and drainage, as well as a new neighbourhood centre with facilities and shops.
But Jo Carter, of Jaywick Lane, said homeowners were now looking to form a residents’ association to fight the development.
“People are up in arms – it’s outrageous,” she said.
