A BODY has been found in the search for missing Clacton man Luke Harding.

Officers from Essex Police found the body of a man in the river in Castle Park, in Colchester, this afternoon.

No formal identification has been conducted.

Officers have made Luke’s family aware of the discovery and will be providing support to them.

They do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances at this stage.

Luke, 21, of Ferndale Close, Clacton, worked at the Royal Mail depot in Colchester.

He went missing after a night out in Colchester.

He left Yates’ in Head Street at 1am on Sunday and was seen in Vineyard Street car park.

Luke was due to meet friends at 3am to get a taxi back to Clacton but did not show up.

He has not been seen since and has not made contact with his family or friends.

Police have been carrying out searches around Colchester by land and air.

Friends and family also joined the search, and postmen across the country were asked to be on the lookout.
