A PROJECT to help the vulnerable keep warm during winter is set to host special one-day events across Tendring.
People can collect free items of bedding and clothing as part of the initiative in Jaywick and Clacton over the coming weeks.
They will need to show they are on benefits as well as providing a recent bank statement.
The events are being run by the Tendring Community Builder Project and Tendring Citizens Advice Mental Health Project.
Tendring CAB chief executive Linda Isaac said: “The local community has been so generous with donations to our charity shop.
“We are now in a position to help even more people in genuine need."
The events take place at Jaywick Community Resource Centre in Brooklands Gardens on September 2 and at the Coastal Community Centre in Pathfields Road, Clacton, on September 10 from 10am-4pm.
