CAMPAIGNERS trying to ditch the word Jaywick from their postal addresses fear the bid is in danger of falling apart.

Delighted campaigners thought they had won when there were just 20 objections – less than two per cent.

But the bid has now stalled because Tendring Council refused to back the change.
