Marina given green light to put up solar panels near backwater beauty spot
MARINA bosses have been given permission to create a field of solar panels.
Walton’s Titchmarsh Marina has planning approval to create a strip of five solar panels measuring 100metres wide and three metres deep.
It has been designed to help the business generate its own green energy.
The panels will be put up on a field on the eastern side of Coles Lane with hedges screening them from view.
Council planners gave the green light, supporting the bid for renewable energy and deciding it would not affect enjoyment of the backwaters beauty spot.
