A cyclist who died in a crash in Weeley has been named as Paul Hickey from Clacton.
Mr Hickey, 48, was married and had four children.
He suffered multiple serious injuries after the crash with a Ford Transit on the A133 van on Sunday at 6pm.
He was taken to hospital but died at 8.45pm.
A tribute issued by his family this afternoon said: "He was a much loved family man, who worked as a financial director in the construction industry and lived in Clacton for the last 13 years.
"Paul was a keen cyclist and triathlete and completed the London Marathon several times for his favourite charities.”
