CLASSICAL crooners G4 put their operatic spin on some of the biggest hits of all time at Clacton's Princes Theatre tomorrow night.

The 'popera' lads shot to fame in 2004 when they brought classical music to the X Factor for the first time with their performance of Nessun Dorma.

But it was their cover of Bohemian Rhapsody that became their signature tune, storming the charts in 2005.

Their debut album went straight to number one, selling more than 245,000 copies in the first week, making it the fastest-selling album of the year.

The quartet - Jonathan Ansell, Ben Thapa, Mike Christie and Nick Ashby - went on to release three albums, selling more than two million copies in the UK.

They split in 2007 but regrouped for a one-nighter at London's Barbican Centre to mark the tenth anniversary of their X Factor appearance.

That led to a full reunion tour in front of packed houses across the UK.

Now they are on the road again with their Back For Good tour - the third since the split.

Having delivered their unique take on classics such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Circle of Life and Nessun Dorma, they are now using their flawless vocals to tackle modern chart-toppers such as Let It Go, Happy and Uptown Funk.

Frontman Jonathan Ansell said: "It's a real honour to be back on the road together with G4, where we've all been totally blown away by the audience's insatiable appetite for our reunion."

G4 are also planning a Christmas By Candlelight show in historic churches and cathedrals across the UK in November and December, followed by a new studio album in February and a 20-date UK tour in March.

They are joined on stage tomorrow by singing sensations Vox Fortura, who wowed fans on this summer's Britain's Got Talent, multi-award-winning teen soprano Katie Marshall and the Sound Collective Chorus Choir.

Tickets for the September 23 show are £27.50 from the box office on 01255 686633. VIP meet and greet tickets are also available, priced £75.
