WITNESSES are being urged to come forward after a hit-and-run driver left a man with a serious injury.
The victim, in his 30s, was walking his dog along Leas Road, in Clacton, at around 5.20am on Friday when he was hit by a blue car.
The driver, described as white, aged between 25 and 40-years-old, with light coloured hair and wearing a grey tracksuit, then drove away.
It is possible the five-door car could be have been a Ford or Vauxhall model.
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service, said: "Crews treated the man who had a head and arm injury.
"He was taken to Colchester General Hospital for further treatment.
"His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."
