A previous traveller encampment on Holland Marshes
TRAVELLERS camped on Holland Marshes are due to be served with a summons today.
The group pitched camp on a layby used as a gritting compound by Essex County Council on New Year's Eve.
They were issued with an eviction notice on Wednesday and are expected to be given a court summons by the Essex Countywide Traveller Unit today.
A provisional court date has been set for next Tuesday if the travellers fail to move on.
Three vehicles are understood to be on the site.
