SQUATTERS' RIGHTS: Mike Garrard, of Golf Green Road, Jaywick, took this photo of a house sparrow about to evict a pair of great tits from their nest box and move in. Mike said: "The nestbox hole is sized for blue tits, which are quite a bit smaller. The sparrow looks like a fat cat squeezing through a catflap, but it hasn't put him off."
