CELEBRITIES donated prizes to a charity auction which raised almost £100,000 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices and the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

F1 racing driver Lewis Hamilton, songwriter Ed Sheeran and celebrity chef Jamie Oliver were among the donors.

Each provides care and support to life-threatened children, young people and their families across East Anglia.

The auction had 114 lots, which included the opportunity to be guests of Ant and Dec at the Britain’s Got Talent finals, Ed Sheeran clothes and a stay at the Goring Hotel in London.

The top lot in the auction was donated by football supremo Sepp Blatter, FIFA president, comprising an opportunity for two to attend the FIFABallon d’Or Awards in Zurich as VIP guests. It received 74 bids and went for £7,100.

A total of 2,596 bids were made during the online auction, with winning bids were received from as far as Australia, Bangkok, Switzerland and France.
