RESIDENTS have less than a month to have their say on proposed changes to Colchester’s electoral boundaries.

The Local Government Boundary Commission has outlined its proposals to change the face of Colchester, by cutting the number of councillors from 60 to 51.

It means each of the 17 wards would have three councillors.

Max Caller, Chair of the Commission, said: “We are keen to hear local views about our boundary proposals before we finalise them in March 2015.

“We want to make sure ward boundaries across Colchester reflect the identities and interests of local communities as well as delivering electoral fairness for voters.

“This is your last chance to have your say before we finalise the recommendations.”

Public consultation closes on January 12.
