Energy co-operative Green Energy Nayland plans to run a 5.6 acre solar farm on the Birch airfield with cash from members of the community.
It needs to raise £900,000 for the site, which will run alongside Push Energy’s 20- acre site.
The meeting will be held at Colchester Rugby Club, in Mill Road, from 5pm to 8pm today (Tuesday).
