O2 customers lost service yesterday as the company had problems with its network.
People in London, Leeds and Nottingham reported problems but people in Essex also tweeted and emailed their frustrations.
Some people claimed they had no signal for five hours.
The mobile phone giant said an investigation had been launched.
A spokesman said "some customers experienced some problems accessing our network" and that the service had returned to normal at 23:35 BST on Monday.
