FOUR teenagers have been charged after items were thrown at buildings in Colchester.

Police arrested the four boys, aged 15 and 16, outside the town’s magistrates’ court at about 6.30pm on Wednesday.

It is alleged they threw items at a number of buildings in the town centre during the afternoon.

Two of the boys, a 15-yearold from Colchester and a 16- year-old from Clacton, were charged with three counts of criminal damage.

A 15-year-old boy from Colchester was charged with one count of criminal damage and another 15-year-old, also from Colchester, was charged with using threatening/abusive words/ or disorderly behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

All four teenagers have all been released on police bail until they appear at Colchester Youth Court on July 29.
