POTHOLES are currently being repaired more quickly than they are appearing in Essex.
The county still has more than 4,000 acknowledged potholes but huindred have been fixed in the past three months.
This includes about 260 potholes on main roads.
Eddie Johnson, cabinet member for highways maintenance, said: “I’m encouraged by the latest figures which demonstrate sustained progress on roads that are pivotal to Essex’s economy.”
