A HEADTEACHER was turfed out of his office for the day when three cheeky pupils took over his primary school.
Alfie Allen, six, Faiza Kaffala, eight, and Ruby Greenleaf, nine, won Friday's experience of a lifetime at Heathlands Primary School in West Bergholt.
Jeremy Hallum, usually the school's head teacher, said: "We have drawn up quite a detailed timetable for them.
"The first thing they have done is have lots of biscuits and drinks, then they went around all the classrooms to monitor the quality of learning."
The children later presented house certificates to other pupils and enjoyed lunch in the grown ups' staff room.
In the afternoon they led an assembly on anti-bullying before saying farewell to other pupils when the school day ended.
Mr Hallum added: "They have been doing a very good job - fingers crossed I will still have a job at the end of it."
The children had entered a draw on Children in Need day earlier this month which saw them win the prize.
