A GOVERNMENT investigation will be held into the train line linking north Essex with London.
Colchester’s MP Will Quince raised the issue with the Transport Select Committee this afternoon and members agreed to launch a inquiry into the Great Eastern Main Line.
Greater Anglia, Network Rail, the minister for transport and the two other companies due to bid for the franchise next year will be involved.
A date is likely to be set in the next few days.
Delighted the @CommonsTrans has agreed in principle to an inquiry into the service on the Great Eastern Main Line. Date to be confirmed.
