Police were called to a group of rowdy football fans celebrating England’s victory over Tunisia in the streets.
Officers attended a disturbance outside Picture Palace, in Fairfield Road, Braintree, at around 9pm on Monday.
A video has emerged showing the delighted football fans singing and cheering after England’s opening World Cup result.
However in the video, a man can be seen climbing on top of the roof of a passing vehicle, an incident which the police are now investigating after the car was damaged.
It is believed the car's back windscreen may have been broken.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Officers attended Fairfield Road, Braintree, at around 9pm on June 18, following reports of a disturbance.
“Words of advice were given to a number of people and the group dispersed. No arrests were made.
