STUDENT Christopher Flossman is standing as the Green candidate in the General Election for Harwich and North Essex constituency.

The 21-year-old, originally from Bristol, is currently studying politics and history at the University of Essex.

Why you should vote for me

SINCE I’ve started university, politics has changed massively, and the old rules do not apply.

I’m standing because I know that life can be made so much better in this country for everyone, one where we support people out of poverty and empower them to live strong, independent lives.

This is something that is incredibly important to me.

As a kidney transplant patient, I know what it is to be given the gift of life, real life, and that is something I want to ensure everyone is able to do.

By introducing the living wage of £7.85 as the minimum wage, we can make sure work pays and after a day’s work, you don’ t have to make the awful choice of going hungry or going cold.

By bringing the rail and energy industries into public hands, we can take corporate profits and give them back to normal working people, bring down the cost of living, banish fuel poverty, improve our economy and enhance our natural environment.

By giving me your vote, we can make this a reality.

Taking on the powers-that-be who create poverty and spread misinformation and lies.

Breaking up media empires and giving everyone a real voice, making tax abusers pay for the crisis they created and giving small business and the self-employed the support they desperately need.

A green economy benefits everyone, guaranteeing a safe planet for the future, a prosperous society, and a life free of poverty.

Vote Green for the common good.
