Mistley Kids Club cash boost
CARERS will be offered valuable respite after a children’s club was given a charitable grant.
Mistley Kids Club will be able to give emergency child care and extra club sessions for parents and carers of children with special needs.
The club received £1,500 from finance charity Colchester Catalyst, which should last for a year.
Currently it provides after school and holiday care for 260 children aged four to 18-years-old, 90 of which have special needs such as autism and epilepsy.
It is a registered charity and caters for children across Tendring as well as some from Colchester and Ipswich.
Colchester Catalyst is a grant making fund which gives cash to caring charities in north Essex. Its money comes from the income invested from the sale of the former Colchester Oaks Hospital.
