CHILDREN got a taste of a bug’s life when an insect expert arrived at their school.
Two Village Primary School pupils faced their fears and took hold of a tarantula, scorpion, Giant African millipede and hissing cockroaches last Thursday, January 24.
Martin Rapley, also known as Martin the Bug Man, unleashed the insects as part of a day of activity at the Ramsey school. He also brought a large iguana to walk around the classrooms as part of his informative workshops.
Children learnt about different species of creepy crawlies, their diet and habitats.
Headteacher Kay Wills said the youngsters were buzzing with enthusiasm following the day.
