Councillor resigns from post

A COUNCILLOR is resigning after nearly six years of service to her town.
Marilyn Gibbins, who represented the Labour party in Harwich East ward on the town council, has stepped down due to work commitments.
Marilyn, who has now moved to Braintree for her job as an office manager, said Harwich deserved a representative who could give 100 per cent to the area.
There is now a vacancy for the Harwich East ward.
