APPRENTICES and course leaders had a visit from their MP to support their historic project.
Bernard Jenkin, MP for Harwich and North Essex took a tour around The Mayflower Project and its railway shed which has been converted into a workshop.
The project aims to build a replica pilgrim ship to sail from England to America.
Mr Jenkin also watched the saw in action cutting an oak tree for use on the ship build.
He said: “This is such a promising project which is already upgrading historic buildings in Harwich and training young people for apprenticeships, and they have hardly stated. I look forward to this fantastic work continuing.”
