Thank you for passing PC

A STRANDED motorist has thanked a passing policewoman for coming to her rescue.

Sandra Carter from Main Road, Dovercourt was at the Lidl roundabout in Dovercourt after shopping on Monday evening when her window wiper came off and started to scratch her window.

“I found somewhere safe to pullover because I had to turn off my wipers and couldn’t see in the rain,” she said.

But after stopping on Parkeston Road to temporarily fix the wiper Sandra found her car had broken down.

“It was dead,” she added.

“I contemplated rolling in back down hill to jump start it but too many cars were coming up the hill - rush hour.

“At this point, because I had sort of attempted it, the car was parked out in the road.

“I just start to panic and a police car pulled up and the loveliest lady police woman ever came to my rescue.”

Pc Nicky Jasiczak asked a passerby to help the two women push it up the hill onto the pavement.

“Then she helped me get all my shopping out of my car and bought me home,”

Sandra said. “She was an angel sent from heaven, thank you so much PC Nicky.”

Nice story and nice for the policewoman to be thanked as so many people these days do nothing but criticise the police.
