Knife point robbery last night Knife point robbery last night

A MAN was attacked and robbed at knife point by a gang of men.

The 25-year-old victim was walking along Stour Road in Harwich at 10.50pm last night, February 18, when five or six men pushed him to the ground and kicked him.

One man threatened him with a knife. He went through his pockets, stealing his wallet.

A van driver saw what was going on and confronted the group, who then ran off towards Dovercourt town centre.

The five or six attackers are described as aged 18-25, one wearing a white hoody, the others had covered their faces with scarves.

Police are urgently asking for information and help to track down the driver of the dark coloured transit-style van to help with investigations.

Ds Tim Coyles said: "Police immediately search the area for the suspects but now we need to speak to the van driver who will hold vital witness information."

Anyone with information should call Dc Derek Lee at Clacton CID on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Here we go again yet more bad crime in Harwich, probably at the hands of the cretins that have been moved here from outside London, and now our towns and communities are paying the price. And weren't they actually paid to move into our towns? Something to do with the Olympics no doubt. Incredible! I know for a fact that true locals here are sick of it...It never was like this here. I wish these nasty cretins would leave the locals here in peace and go back where they came from.
