End of the road for driving school

KEITH Churchman was sitting at home when his career and business came to an end.

After 11 years of running his own driving school in Harwich he suffered two minor strokes and had decided it was not safe to carry on driving.

“I had already stopped driving as a precaution," he said.

"On medical advise I have now ceased as a driving instructor and closed the company.

"It’s very sad.

“I will of course miss the fun I had teaching many pupils in the art of driving safely for life and still love seeing them smile and wave as they pass me.”

Keith is still part of the Harwich RNLI, but is currently recovering at home.
