A TEENAGE brother and sister who escaped from a school bus when a car crashed into it and burst into flames are thankful changes could soon be made to a danger junction.

The Highways Agency has finally agreed urgent action needs to be taken on the Hare Green junction of the A120 and will draft a report assessing its safety by March 8.

Crash victims Lee, 13, and sister Kayleigh Gallagher, 15, now call the Hare Green junction on the A120 ‘Hell Junction’.

They were two of the 30 school bus passengers who saw a car burst into a fireball at the junction in November 2011.

The car, travelling from Colchester towards the coast, hit the school bus as it crossed the A120 from Great Bromley. It spun around before bursting into flames.

Lee and Kayleigh were returning home to Manor Road, Dovercourt, from St Benedict’s College in Colchester.

Lee, who was 11 at the time, said the pair are still scared of the junction.
